Challenge prizes 🏆

The UNICORN challenge features two prize rounds, which are explained in more detail below.

🐦 Early Bird Prize (Deadline: June 30th)

Running this challenge requires significant compute resources. Part of our compute budget expires at the end of June, so we kindly encourage participants to use some of their allowed submissions before June 30th to help us spread the load. To thank early contributors, we are introducing an early bird prize round. The top-performing teams by June 30th on each of the validation leaderboards mentioned below will receive a monetary prize.

In addition, all teams that submit before June 30th and outperform the baseline with a novel algorithm will be invited to present a poster at the UNICORN MICCAI workshop (September 23rd).

🥇 Final Prize (Deadline: August 31st)

At the end of the challenge, teams will have the opportunity to select their best submission, which will be run once on the challenge test sets. This will produce final rankings that will be displayed on the corresponding test leaderboards. Based on these final rankings, a more substantial prize pool will be awarded in the same categories:

Leaderboard positions still count until the end of the challenge, but if your method is ready (or nearly there), we encourage you to submit early. It helps us, and gives you a chance to shine early in the competition!
